Syskwan Rainbow

Named Syskwan Rainbow for the Universal Male aspect: “Syskwan” the Original Male Force conjoined with the First Universal Female aspect: “Wakan.” Then, out of their first love making the ALL of EVERYTHING was created and born, representing absolutely everything in the Universe; which now is called “Wakan Tanka.” So, like “Syskwan” the Primal Male force, this sculpture rises up and embodies the Mystery of the all-encompassing Male Aspect.

The glass blank used to make Syskwan Rainbow was a large shard cut from the Rainbow Arrow monumental glass sculpture by Michael Bokrosh. This fragment of deep, transparent gold optical glass is of hefty size and weight. Halfway through the cutting and polishing process, Michael laminated a large piece of rainbow-colored, dichroic glass to the largest surface. The addition of this piece creates a myriad of rainbow colors that change hues as the sculpture is rotated. This intricate, hand-cut and polished glass sculpture will delight the viewer throughout the day as the light changes.

As one is viewing this art glass sculpture illuminated with natural light the reflections and refractions are ever changing and simply stunning. This glass piece is inset on a rotating stone base that is made from rust-colored, cloud quartzite stone from Montana. There are four rollers inset into the bottom of the base for ease of movement.
